Born in Obalende, Lagos, Mrs Betty Irabor is an Award-winning CEO and Editor-in-Chief of leading, award-winning monthly lifestyle magazine, Genevieve Magazine, based in Lagos, Nigeria.
She is a graduate of Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her magazine Genevieve started off from scratch in 2003.
Genevieve Magazine is Nigeria’s leading lifestyle magazine circulating across Africa, America and Europe. Its vision is to be a complete lifestyle guide and best friend, inspiring wholesomeness in all women globally. She is also a humanitarian, mentor, and has worked as a freelance writer for This day, and Vanguard newspaper and contributed a few columns for Black & Beauty magazine UK. She is married to Soni Irabor, a seasoned broadcaster, marketing communications expert and public speaker, they are blessed with a son and a daughter
Her philanthropic and charity pursuits have seen her championing a cause against breast cancer with the Genevieve Foundation which holds an annual pink ball as a fundraiser for victims. At the first Pink Ball, they raised money to buy a mammogram machine and donated it to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital in Ikeja, Nigeria. She recently turned 60 years in March 2017, and held a #SoulTrain birthday party that drew all top shots in the media and entertainment industry.
